Noted & Known is a small, private app made with care. If something isn’t working, or you just have a question, email is the quickest way to reach a real person.

Your data

Where it lives

Everything you write stays on your device. There’s no account and no Noted & Known cloud copy of your people or notes.

Export a copy

You can export everything from the app as a JSON file whenever you like. It’s a snapshot of that moment, so store it somewhere private.

Delete your data

In the app, Settings → Clear all data removes the people, notes, chronicles and settings stored on your device. If you’d like us to delete any crash reports or analytics linked to your install, email kris@singhstudio.co.nz.

Noted & Known Full

Noted & Known is free for up to eight people. Noted & Known Full is a one-time purchase that adds unlimited people, custom labels, saved views and five more skins. It’s never a subscription.

Restore a purchase

If you reinstall, or move to a new device on the same Apple Account, open the upgrade sheet (Settings → Noted & Known Full, or try adding a ninth person) and choose Restore. Your purchase comes back at no charge.

Refunds

The App Store handles purchases, so refund requests go through Apple directly, under their refund policies.

Common questions

My reminders aren’t showing up

Reminders are scheduled by your phone. Check that notifications are allowed for Noted & Known in your system settings, and that the person still has the date or reminder set.

I lost my data after reinstalling

Everything lives on your device and there’s no cloud sync, so deleting the app removes its data too. If your notes matter to you, export now and then. Restoring from an export is manual and replaces what’s on the device.

Is the app lock encryption?

No. The biometric or passcode lock is a barrier on the app’s screen, and it doesn’t encrypt your database. The privacy policy has the full detail.
